Great job! I really enjoyed reading this, especially the history and origin sections. Perhaps you could have talked about the molecular mechanisms by which LSD and Cannabis work, too! :)
I would have liked to a lot! I was trying to cover as much range in treatment as possible while using human studies and I did not want to make it a laborious read, rather an informative and simple overview. If I had done one drug, I am sure I would have had more time/space to include more mechanisms, but my group members and I wanted to cover as many illegal drugs as possible. It could have been a much better product if we had more members to divide drugs up between! Sorry I did not satisfy your desire for the mechanisms:(
The use of more 'recreational' drugs in the medical world always interests me. People may underestimate them in terms of their therapeutic potential, nice to see this being explored to help people.
I LOVED your choice of topic and you did a great job reviewing the potential benefits of these illicit substances. I would have loved to have read more on other substances as well (ie- the use of mdma or psilocybin) and may research it on my own now that you've captured my interest. Great job!
Good job on the neurowiki! I like how you covered the benefits for a wide range of application.
BY FAR BEST TOPIC EVER!!!! I think a section on magic mushrooms as a treatment for depression would have been radical ;) subsection too.
It is part of another group members drugs! It was hard to give up magic mushrooms (It has been shown to decrease depressive symptoms after ONE treatment!) I can't seem to find their article though as it is not linked to the main group page or listed…:/ .
Thanks for the positive comment!:)
Fascinating; the section on cannabis in treating anorexia in cancer patients was really interesting and informative!
I was very fascinated first by the topic and the article! great flow and easy to read! I had no idea that Cannabis was used for treatment of Anorexia and that was very interesting. Great Job :)
